History

The Page Group, headquarter in Salt Lake City, Utah was founded in 1946 as a light, medium and heavy-duty repair facility.  Carl Hansen, currently the largest share holder and principal was employed in 1955 and later purchased the company with partner Richard Ence in 1963.  The company evolved into a heavy-duty parts distributor in 1970 and began to add retail operations throughout Utah. 

In 1989 Carl Hansen purchased Richard Ence’s company interests in preparation of expanding the company to its current position of one service facility and ten retail outlets throughout Utah, Idaho & New Mexico. Much of this growth came in 2005 when the Page Group added four additional retail locations, one in Utah, three in Idaho as well as the acquisition of our Albuquerque facility in early 2006.  The results of which were a 35% growth in our retail presence over prior years.

In addition the Page Group has two wholesale remanufacturing centers distributing products across the United States.  Western States Friction was created in 1993 as a regional high volume quality brake remanufacturing plant. Eastern States Friction followed in 2005 transforming the wholesale division creating a national presence. 

Page Group has also had the distinct pleasure of being recognized as a finalist for the 2004 & 2006 “Truck Parts & Service Distributor of the Year”.  In 2006 the Page Group received the ultimate honor of being named as the 2006 “Truck Parts Distributor of the Year”.

When asked about what has attributed to our success, Carl declares “because of the hard work, dedication and commitment of our employees, the rewards are high.  When you establish a strong, lasting relationship and gain confidence from your customers, the reward is equally as high”.

The near future promises a new headquarters and distribution facility in Salt Lake City. In addition to being twice the size the specifically designed building will allow for better warehousing and new technologies efficiencies including WMS.  The Page Group has been proudly serving the heavy duty industry for over 60 years and optimistic about our future.
